The Hayward Platform is a timeless staple. Casually tailored with rich suede, a mock toe, and textured sidewalls, making it an updated classic. Designed to function as both a sneaker and loafer, it can be dressed up or down.
The rich suede feels even better in person than in the photos, and the mock toe gives them a dressier edge that I wasn't expecting. I've worn them three days straight without any break-in soreness, and they pair perfectly with both jeans and my work trousers.
I was worried the platform sole would feel clunky, but it's surprisingly light and the textured sidewalls give it a cool, rugged look. These work just as well with jeans as they do with my work trousers, so I've basically been living in them since they arrived.
